Everything you need to know before traveling to HEROIC, where to stay, best places to eat and more!
Our students travel from all over the world to attend our transformational in-person training events. Learn everything you need to know about visiting HEROIC, the beautiful town of Lambertville and surrounding areas, as well as travel recommendations and important information about not using Uber or Lyft.
The Two Don'ts
As you plan your trip to HEROIC campus, make sure you avoid these two things.
DO NOT wear cologne, perfume or essential oils.
Some of our team members (and many of our students) are allergic. So allergic, in fact, that we sneezed writing the word “cologne.”
DO NOT rely on using Uber or Lyft for transportation.
Uber or Lyft can work for arriving, but not for leaving. Rides are often cancelled (even if the apps say otherwise). Schedule reliable transportation.
Here’s how to
find us.
We are located on the second floor of the Laceworks Building in Lambertville. When you arrive, go to the front of the building (you’ll see a sign for Zanya Spa). Head toward the left of the building and onto the ramp. You’ll then walk about 20 feet, enter a door, and walk up stairs to the next landing. That’ll take you to HEROIC. Find out more about local eateries and places to stay below.

Eat
Note that we provide lunch during full-day programs with plenty of consideration for various allergens and dietary needs, but we are including these options in case you’d like an alternative or a coffee break.
Union Coffee
Union Coffee boasts plenty of indoor space, a gallery of local art, and a fantastic menu of healthy, homemade breakfast and lunch items. It’s one of our favorite places in town to meet with friends or hunker down and get some creative work done.

Lambertville Trading Company
Lambertville Trading Company, has been serving the community for nearly 40 years, offering delightful coffee, espresso, and chocolate.

Chive Café
Chive is one of our go-tos. With a broad offering of soup, salad, sandwich, and breakfast platters, you just can’t go wrong.

Broadmoor
(Italian) This BYOB restaurant has quickly become one of our team’s favorites. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is inviting and chic, and the food ranges from traditional to experimental.

Ota-Ya
(Japanese) This place has excellent sushi. We would get food from there every night if we could.

Triumph Brewery
(American) Good craft beer. While it’s loud, it’s easy to get a table and a messy burger.

El Tule
(Mexican + Peruvian) Delicious. This is a gem in a county that lacks great Mexican & Peruvian food. Many of our students go here for small-group dinners.

Oldestone Steakhouse
Oldestone Steakhouse, a favorite among students, offers a unique dining experience in a converted church building.

The Landing
(American) A long time New Hope mainstay, Landing has been in the area since Amy was a child. It has outdoor seating for eating and drinking right along the riverside, and you can look at the bridge while enjoying casual food. Please note, they are only open late spring until early fall.

Sprig and Vine
(Vegetarian) Vegetarian and plant-based restaurant that feels satisfying and inventive to vegetarians and self-proclaimed carnivores alike. The plates are small, but the taste is mighty.

The Salt House
(American) Quirky and cozy, this relatively new establishment has excellent organic, locally sourced food and an intriguing list of craft beer. Great for intimate group conversations.

Karla's
(European) Located in the heart of downtown New Hope offering European cuisine, fine wine and cocktails, Karla’s has beautiful open air seating and a European flair. From a casual burger to fine seafood dishes, it offers a little bit of everything on the menu.

Nektar
(Wine bar) A bistro offering Mediterranean-style small plates, wine, whiskey, and beer. Their outdoor patio is gorgeous and serene. Many of our faculty members say this is one of their favorite places to go when they dine in town.

Martine's River House
(American) Known for both their lovely views of the Delaware as well as their fine food, Martine’s is a terrific option for a more upscale dining experience in town. Definitely worth waiting for an outdoor table in the fine summer months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Once you are here, Lambertville is a walkable town. And if there is bad weather (or if you’d simply like a ride), many of our students use our private Facebook page to organize ride shares.
Speaking of ride shares, we often seen students starting carpools right on our private Facebook page, so that they can meet up at the airport.
Of course you can.
Email us at questions@heroicpublicspeaking.com as soon as possible.
Power to you for keeping your routine and knowing what makes you feel your best. If you don’t find the specific type of food that you’re looking for on our EAT section, we would recommend posting your question in our private Facebook group. Past CORE attendees are happy to chime in with their favorite finds.
If CrossFit is your thing, you’re in luck—Lambertville’s own CrossFit Jolt is right next door to our building.
You can also sign up for a day pass or a class at Cornerstone in New Hope. Many of our students rave about it, and a few of our crew members are regulars there. Lambertville is also home to Dig Yoga, and if you are ready to hit the trails, we are right by a beautiful towpath that runs right along the river (you can’t miss it).
Interested in pampering yourself a bit after a hard workout? Treat yourself to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience at Zanya Spa Salon, located on the first floor of our building.
We recommend introducing yourself on our private Facebook page. Introduce yourself; a swarm of fellow attendees, HEROIC alums, and HEROIC crew members will greet you back with gusto.
With two packed days of learning ahead of you, we recommend being fully present and experiencing each and every minute we have together. We also understand that life and business continue while you are with us at HEROIC. If you must take a call, or step out for any reason, it's best (and less disruptive) if you skip a class to tend to work/life needs than to drop in and out during the class. Please let us know if you are going to take a call during a small group session so that we don't send the hounds searching for you, and please take phone calls outside if the weather permits.
Really. We are sure that your perfume, cologne, and essential oils smells like the freshest flower or the piniest pine tree. Nonetheless, several of our faculty members have severe allergies, and we want them focusing on making you an even more compelling communicator and presenter, instead of focusing on when they can grab a tissue and eye drops.
We have answers (or we can help you find the answers). Reach out to us!
