Your HEROIC Referral Kit

A Quick Note for Alumni

You’ve experienced the transformation that comes from world-class speech and performance training, and chances are, you know someone who’s ready for the same kind of breakthrough.
We built this Referral Kit to make it easy to introduce those people to HEROIC.
Whether you’re introducing someone just beginning their speaking or authorship journey or a seasoned professional looking to elevate their craft, your referral helps us continue building a community of purpose-driven speakers and authors committed to serving others.
We’re deeply grateful. Not only because your introductions help HEROIC grow, but because they help make this community stronger.

Who to Refer
The best referrals are people who are ready to grow, not just in what they say, but in how they show up in the world. They may not all call themselves “speakers" or "authors,” but they’re driven to lead, serve, or create meaningful change, and they know their voice is part of how they’ll do that.
We're especially excited to meet people who are serious about personal and professional development and energized by being in community (whether in person or virtually) with other smart, thoughtful, successful individuals. If they’re lifelong learners, values-driven, and motivated to make a bigger impact, they’ll likely thrive here.
Whether they’re speakers, authors, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, educators, executives, or activists, if they’re serious about developing their voice and using it to serve others, they might be exactly who we’re looking for.
You might know someone who’s:
Building a business, brand, or platform and wants to communicate with more clarity and conviction.
Leading a movement or mission and wants to tell their story in a way that moves people to act.
Developing a keynote or big talk that needs to reflect the true power of their message.
Writing or launching a book and wants to align their talk with their ideas.
Speaking regularly and now wants to write a book to expand their message and reach.
Speaking often but knows they’re capable of more on stage.
Speaking on behalf of their company, product, or ideas and wants to communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
Stepping into a new season of their work and wants support designing the next chapter of their message.
How to Refer
Option 1: Send an Email Intro
Send a short email making the introduction to us and cc: admissions@heroicpublicspeaking.com. You can address it to the HEROIC Team or to a specific team member you’ve been in touch with.
1
Option 2: Submit a Referral Form
Prefer a quick form? Just fill it out with your referral's info and a short note about why you think they’d be a great fit for this work. We’ll take it from there.
2
Our Referral Process
Referring someone to HEROIC is simple and intentional. This isn’t an open enrollment model like many online courses or in-person trainings. We operate more like a graduate-level program, with an application-based admissions process designed to ensure the right people, just like you, are in the room.
Once you make the introduction, we’ll guide your referral through a thoughtfully designed student journey that’s centered on their goals, their readiness, and their fit with our values and community.
Make the Introduction
Choose the option that feels most natural. Send a quick email or fill out the short form to introduce your referral to HEROIC.
Refer Someone NowWe Take It from There
Once introduced, they’ll connect with our Admissions Team for a Discovery Call.
If they’re not the right fit right now, we’ll still offer them next-step recommendations and treat the relationship with care.
Their First HEROIC Experience
If invited forward, they’ll attend the CORE | The Breakthrough Experience 2-day event. (They’ll place a 1k deposit, fully refundable upon arrival.)
Learn MoreThey Apply to Our Flagship Speaker Program
After CORE, they can apply to join Speech & Performance Mastery, our flagship, GRAD-level training program. This is the next best step for those who want to continue this work more deeply. It’s where we take the foundation built at CORE and turn it into a full, transformational learning experience.
We’ll keep you in the loop as your referral progresses through the journey. Your relationship with them matters to us and once you introduce them to HEROIC, we see that connection as an extension of our relationship with you.
An Inside Look at Our Current Programs
Just like we teach our students, we’ve evolved, and elevated, GRAD | Speech & Performance Mastery many times since its inception. You may have experienced the program under a previous name like UNDERGRAD, HPS GRAD: 1st Term and 2nd Term, or another iteration.
And while the format, structure, and delivery have evolved, the heart and soul of the experience remain unchanged: world-class training for speakers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders who want to serve from any room or stage with excellence. We’ve also expanded the journey with additional pathways, like GRAD | Speaking Business Mastery and GRAD | Book Writing Mastery, to support your speaking business and authorship goals.
The experience has also evolved to include a hand-selected Faculty, each rigorously trained in HEROIC’s methodology and deeply committed to upholding the standard, culture, and transformational depth that defines this work. You can meet the HEROIC Faculty and Team here.
Here’s a look at how the current journey is structured so you can confidently speak to what we offer today.
CORE
|
The Breakthrough Experience
A high-impact, completely in-person event designed to give participants a hands-on preview of training with HEROIC. It’s not just an intro, it’s a catalyst. No virtual components.
They’ll explore:
Ideation & content development.
Performance and stagecraft techniques.
Audience connection and storytelling.
It’s designed to help them determine if GRAD | Speech & Performance Mastery is the right next step.

GRAD
|
Speech & Performance Mastery
Our flagship, GRAD-level program is a 7-month experience that helps speakers, entrepreneurs, and leaders shape their ideas into a clear, compelling message and bring it to life with intentional performance through two powerful phases:
GRAD
|
Speech Writing Mastery
From Raw Idea to Strong Working Draft. This phase guides participants through ideation, structure, and message development to create a transformational speech with a clear throughline. It’s not about polishing, it’s about building a solid foundation for performance.

GRAD
|
Stage Performance Mastery
Where the Speech Comes Alive. In this phase, participants “edit on their feet,” refining their delivery through movement, vocal work, contrast, and stagecraft. It’s about turning the written talk into a compelling, embodied performance.

How to Talk About the Investment
HEROIC is a premium-level experience for those ready to treat speaking as a craft, not a hobby.
Every HEROIC journey starts with CORE | The Breakthrough Experience. It’s the foundation for all HEROIC training. It's where students learn the tools, frameworks, and mindset that set HEROIC apart. CORE is the first step toward mastering the craft of speaking and building the confidence to lead from the stage.
You can position GRAD | Speech & Performance Mastery as a program designed to deliver the depth and rigor of a graduate-level experience, combining a high-impact curriculum with actionable content and performance coaching. We've seen students elevate their speaking, grow their influence, increase their visibility, positioning, and revenue, and deepen the impact they have on the audiences they serve as a result of this training.
Yes, it’s a serious investment. For the right person, someone ready to step into a bigger version of themselves on stage and in their work, it’s not just justifiable. It’s strategic.
Still, it can be easier to speak from experience or borrow the words of other HEROIC Alumni who’ve been there. Here are three different ways to talk about the investment, depending on what matters most to the person you're referring.
You don’t need to pitch or sell. Just share what this experience made possible for you or pass along a perspective like one of these above. That kind of honest, grounded framing often resonates best.
If you're framing it as a bold investment in long-term growth and transformation:

Robin Camarote
Senior Director, Bid Strategy and Proposals, Presentation and Leadership Coach
“It’s easy to hesitate before investing in yourself, but the right ones don’t just teach skills. They shift your thinking, connect you to a powerful community, and give you an edge that lasts. If someone’s serious about stepping up their presence, impact, and ability to own the room this kind of training changes everything.”
If you're pointing to clear financial ROI:

Francesca Zampaglione
Professional Speaker, Empowerment Leader
“If anyone has questions about the ROI of this work I recouped my investment from one [client theme] call [which booked me a gig].”
If you're speaking to someone who's already performing well and wants a competitive edge:

Gene Hong
Design Leader at Target, Founder of Aperture North, Speaker and Startup Mentor
“There was an eyelash of doubt about the financial investment, but I let that go pretty quickly. I knew that as long as I had the resources, the outcome would be worth it. I think of this like competition. If I do this, I’m going to blow my peer group out of the water. I already perform well, but this would take me to the next level.”
